The Top Of The Tower Poem by Violet Blackwell

The Top Of The Tower

Rating: 5.0

She's stuck
At the top of her tower
But the only dragon
Is not outside
It's inside her
In her mind
She pleads with the dragon
"Leave me alone"
But the dragon refuses
Saying "This is my home"
She's fired up now
This isn't ok
She tried being reasonable
She tried being sane
But now she's angry
She's not giving in
She slays the dragon
That was under her skin
