Solitude Poem by Rebecca Wiles

Solitude

Moonlight on water;
a shimmering jewel.
Starlight reflecting,
into a pool.

Alone in the night;
a solitary high.
Sitting on a rock,
watching the sky.

The lake and the woods,
feels me with bliss.
Just the woodlands and I,
on a night like this!

Terrific poem, Becca. The company of others is often therapeutic but there are times when there is no better therapy than solitude. I also have a poem titled solitude, which I think has some similarities to yours. I would invite you to take a look at it when you have opportunity. A very fine write indeed, poet friend. Richard
