Some Other Place, Some Other Time Poem by White Knight

Some Other Place, Some Other Time

Rating: 5.0

The curve of her lips
the flash of her smile
I go back to work
be it only awhile

Before she is back
and my mind is away
to somewhere I long to be
on some other day

In some other place
at some other time
where I can just hold her
and she can be mine

Countless times a day
this trip I take
to see her smile once again
then only to wake

I linger there now
with her in my arms
gazing in her dark eyes
mesmerized by her charms

A kiss from her lips
the caress of her hand
keep me returning
although I understand

And realize once more
she can never be mine
except in some other place
and some other time
