Her Laugh Poem by White Knight

Her Laugh

Rating: 0.5

The sound of her voice brightens my eyes
and elevates the corners of my mouth

We talk about this, about that
about nothing at all
and yet I hang on her every word
every syllable that passes from her lips

I sit spellbound by the lilt in her voice
then she laughs,
a full, completely happy laugh
and I am lifted higher

Her laughter is the sweetest music
and my heart dances each time I hear it.

I like this poem very much. You say many lovely things in a few well-crafted lines. You've painted nice images with your words and I like your use of metaphor. Very nice indeed.10
