Some Things Poem by Winsy Tink

Some Things

Rating: 2.1

Some things don’t change –
No matter
The shifting of sands;
No matter
The passage of time;
Or even
The shaping of an inexperienced mind –
Some things just don’t change.

Sweet reminiscence, and a sudden revisit
I sink deeper and deeper to the bottom of a bottomless ocean,
Chain of memories and all.

Oh, the folly of it.
Oh, the contradicted pleasure.
