Some Truth
love, we've had a tough time
of it-
begun in deep sea caverns
during flood season
atop a hill midst a lightning storm
love, we're strugglers through the thick of it-
pulled out of chin deep quicksand
outran a cheetah on chase
love-we are strong you and i-
but there is something out there,
cracking our kneecaps
and breaking us
