A Crystal Thread Poem by Alexzia Ferdinand

A Crystal Thread

Rating: 5.0

place a crystal thread
between us now even
for just this moment because
then in some way i'll be connected
to you.
it will not draw us closer nor
seperate any further, but simply hold us here
together all alone, lonely when together.
this crystal thread grants no wishes
and as our eyes create chasms
it pulls tight and neatly knots,
then shatters into dazzling remainders
of the loveliest stitch of our lives.

Good opening poem. It doesn't let you go until the end, and even then it's a bit of a slap in the face, which is great. S x
