Someday Poem by Eva Sobley

Someday

Rating: 5.0

Someday I will put on a smile that's real
And lose all my appeal
SomedayI will be gentle to my mind
And stop being kind
Someday I will be excited for tomorrows
And give in to my sorrows
Someday I will step on a crack
And take three steps back
Someday I will laugh with the tears
And be defeated by my fears
Someday I will break my chain
And stop all this pain
Someday I will become what's bold
And write a letter or a note
Someday I will break the mold
And fall out of the world
Someday I will taste the wine
And leave what's mine
Someday I will stop caring what people think
And have too much to drink
Someday I will see what words mean
And let the knife scratch my skin
Someday I will get down on one knee
And drown in the sea
Someday I will put some numbers on my check
And pull a rope around my neck
Someday I will get up merry off the bed
And put a gun to my head
Someday I will hear the sound
And take the matches off the ground
Someday I will breathe in the air
And burn off of the Earth
