Someday, Somehow Poem by Erika Wingo

Someday, Somehow

Rating: 5.0

Someday, Somehow,
You'll remember me
And wonder where I've gone
You'll regret the times
You took me for granted
Want to fix what you did wrong
But I won't run to you
With open arms
I'll no longer seem to care
The feelings I have for you now
Will be hidden away somewhere
I'll love you still,
I probably always will
Yet I'll turn my back
And walk away
Because I will be much stronger
Than I am today
I won't go back to loving you
No matter how much
I may want to
I can't afford to pay the price
Here I go again,
Thinking twice
But this too, shall pass
And I'll move on
Life will carry me along
To better days, hopefully
Someday, Somehow,
You'll remember me
