Something Happened Poem by shell Zane

Something Happened

Something happened
All stared but none did dare
Step outside their step
And no hand was there to lend

Forgive her for her bruises
Frown not on the tears
For her soul was only there
For his abuses

Something happened
And we turned away
Pretending to be asleep
And praying to forget it
In the new day

Be patience with her sadness
And her lonely way
Love her as a human and
Her tears she lets you kiss away

Something happened
We all saw it coming
But none stood before it
None made the call

So kiss her goodnight
And beg for the sun to shine bright
