SOMETHING I LOOK AT-356
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY
In my outer world
there are many with whom
I act and interact.
But in my inner world where I live and breathe there is none except you.
Believe me, when you came inside it is closed forever,
none can ever get into it.
It is you who will reign there
till there is space and time
I accept you as you are
I neither feel neglected nor ignored by your gestures.
Of course I feel sad and pathetic but accept it as a part of my reality.
I love the boisterous sea, its scenic beauty, I also love its arrogance and mood swings.
For me both the tsunami and cool tides come alike.
I love the sea, yes I love the sea with all her changing moods and fluctuating priorities
I love the sea,
can never love anyone else.
When love matures, it drives away all other emotions and completely blankets one's mind who only sees love
in what he sees and what he does not
When I open my eyes, I only see the dancing sea, when I close my eyes I see nothing but the sleeping beauty
When the sea understands the compulsion and limitation of her lover standing on the shore, touches his feelings and reciprocates his love divine knowing well her poor lover can give her nothing,
it becomes the day of her lover's life,
the day he has been looking forward to since eternity
Your smile makes me smile
Your happiness makes me happy, your dancing waves make me sing and dance on the lonely corridor of life
I don't need anything but have a desire to see you happy all the time.
That will see me through the worst of my life
