Sometimes I Wish Poem by Mohammad Younus

Sometimes I Wish

Sometimes I wish
I could write him a letter
Then I find him smiling,
Enough to stop me
from looking around,
I love it because I believe
It is an authentic smile;
His smile convinces me
Of his presence
Playing fresh music for me,
Calming my heart forever,
The divine music is refreshing.
His voice soft as of a mother's
And smooth as a stream of honey
His glances sunshine on a cold,
gloomy day;
Warming me up to embrace him
His manifestation is music,
The purest and perfect,
Putting me at ease.
He is beautiful,
He loves His own beauty
I would praise him with all my words
But my words just are not enough.
It's so hard to explain in words,
Loving the divine has always been hard
But it feels magnificent.
Just feeling the divine near me,
It's all worth it in the end.
