Somewhere At Sea (Waiting For Provision In Gibraltar) Poem by Sophie Allyah

Somewhere At Sea (Waiting For Provision In Gibraltar)

I'm here semi-tired and waiting
Slithering inside my head, sitting
Watching now the stronghold Gibraltar
A truly amazing site from here afar

My mind's in a state of wondering
In dazzle and imagining
Seagulls swaying in the wind
While some people there just doing shin

Passing boats always glancing
While the bratty ocean is dancing
Hyper dolphins playing peekaboo
White clouds racing with awesome sky hue

The warm sun is smiling
Clashing to the cold of the breeze
One in our lot is happily fishing
Hoping to hook a fish in a whiz

The walloping sea is like an open door
Vessels parked here more and more
The crew just sitting, adoring the view
The heaven, the mountains, and lots of blue

How to finish this mind-boggling story
I must cease it without ending the glory
In such an astonishing place
I must enjoy it with smiles and gaze
