SON OF BAHAI!
The most decorated man from Bahai has taken an early lead
The poor friends and family have heard their tears to feed
Your bossom friend, the orphaned Justo Misiko has had no sleep
His name has walked in town and I have seen his pain cut too deep
Where do we hide and cry in silence?
Where do we write the names of those mourning you in pretence?
Your life is a full book ooh great man
Henry Scott lied with his poem that Death is nothing at all
Where do we hold when we break down in tears and fall?
Now we are wounded, just who do we call?
So silently I bow to you and hold up my lamp
I try to cope the best I can but I'm missing you like a long lost lamb
Promise me one more song in the air
Promise me one more poem with a rhyme
Son of Bahai, sing me one more time the songs of Mose se Sengo or Sam Magwara or Madilu 😭
Send us a song let us sing to the women of Misikhu
A good melody that will warm the hearts of your people in Kabuchai
Send a signal we can show the people of Sirisia
Send a poem we can read to the youth of Kabula
William Shakespeare once wrote about The fair youth
And you of all ate that poem like sugarcane from Bumula
You interpreted Shakespeare as if you were another half of him
And now we hide in his poems, parting is such sweet sorrow
How do I read All that lives must die
Omwami come sing one more song
Be it that of Les Wanyika Safari ya Samburu
Or Sam Magwara Fatimata
Or maybe Remember me by Lucky Dube
For now I bow to you and hold up my lamp
I try to cope the best I can but I am missing you so much.
Now who will read my poems good sir
And at the comment section declare that we meet up for coffee
Who will urge us on that art still lives
That poetry still moves it's way amongst us
Who will poet in those political functions?
And encourage the women not to dim their little hope?
Who did you appoint to talk to Justo Misiko?
And tell him that all this will be over somehow
And tell him that his friend is sleeping and soon shall wake up
Omwami you could have appointed someone
The man breaks, the man hurts
He bows to you and holds up his lamp
He tries to cope the best he can, but he misses you so much
Send a signal, send a song, send a poem
Son of Bahai, the nation has cried you!
You smile and go away, we hurt and celebrate you in each coming day!
Most of all good sir, Send us a poem.. 😭☺️❤️
