Son Of The Night - Poem by Martine Kolber

Betrayed son of the night
How many tears you cried
Into the sounds of your cage,
Broken inside by such a furious rage.

The world in lines cut up
Twisting, you run in circles
Nervous you drink from a cup
Joyful the reflected sun sparkles

Running, always faster, more
And more, running, never stop
You know, you know for sure
There is no door, no way to cope

To cope with the imprisonment of a mind
Hidden behind a smiling face so kind.
