Song Adagio Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Song Adagio

Oh the way I feel tonight,
why do I sit and ponder?
Teardrops cried are out of sight
fallen on a world of blue;
do you feel it too ~
the hopelessness that lingers?
Miles and miles apart,
just two neglected hearts.

When will we say hello?
Tomorrow's plans are doubtful,
we must follow on this way
our lives in disarray.
But I promise you my all...
I will answer to each call
whenever you are lonely
I will save you from the fall.

Until then my chosen friend
right to the end I'll dream about you
cry with you and pray for you
until it's adieu to a world of blue.
But oh the way I feel tonight
I hear your voice up yonder;
my heart takes flight to be with you
where all true lovers wander.
