Song For Shel (Silverstein) Poem by Bryan Corbett

Song For Shel (Silverstein)

Shel was quick
with words of wit
poems like Seuss
and Mother Goose
songs to sing
throughout the day
some times to think
some times to play

the push and pull
the ebb and flow
the rights and lefts
the highs and lows
a beat
a rhythm
a meter
a rhyme
a wonderful way
to spend some time

thank you, Shel
and thanks again
I wish you and I
had been friends
