Song Of Life Poem by Kadagouda Patil

Song Of Life

As the Sun sets,
sky bursts in to color of Orange.
Standing before Mirror,
shades of Orange falls on my face.

As the curtain flutters,
I see Dusk on the skyline.
Cool breeze brings scent of memories,
paints Mirror in to color of Brown.

Girl appears in the Mirror,
standing under a tree hands me a Rose.
The fragrance fills the Mirror,
turns in to color of pink.

The Girl transforms in to Lady,
clutching chocolate to her bosom.
Lady closed eyes filled with love,
turns Mirror in to color of Red.

The lady gets a ponytail,
holding child in hug sucking breast.
Overjoyed lady breaks in to song, child chuckles
paints Mirror in to color of green.

Curtain flutters with breeze,
slowly out of green two children appear.
Playing with dough smeared in flour,
Lady bends down to kiss, it smears Mirror in to blue.

Children paints many faces,
I know them; Papa, Mummy seen smiling at me,
faces of grand ma, neighboring aunt.
All faces join together and form a Rainbow.

Mirror retains nothing,
reflects rainbow in me.
I am doused in hue of colors,
open curtains bring in bursts of sun light.

Standing alone I look around.
Mirror and sunlight playing fun,
makes shadows around me,
Shadows are colored in Grey.

I find no color in shadow except Grey,
they are around me.
clinging to me in many faces,
having no life or existence.

Shadows tease me,
make me realize uncertainties of life.
How life has become colorless,
just like shadows around me.

I am colored in Sea of love,
I am drenched in rain of affection,
I am filled with joy and craze,
I am like a rainbow as colorful.

Does happiness does not have shadow?
Happiness is rainbow, colorful...
does not have shadow.
Shadows are empty and ugly.

I am filled with color,
My life is Rainbow as I am colored by God.
