Song Of The Sea And In The Woods Poem by Macy (Nina) Dvirnak

Song Of The Sea And In The Woods

Song of the Sea

The lightning, it flashed!
The wind, it blast!
Through every tree, in every blade of grass
Like tears of sorrow
It rained from heaven

Like billows fall and rise
While waiting for sunrise
Little did I realize

A tornado twisted
above the earth
Giving need for new birth

The aftermath was bad
It made me sad

Like tears of sorrow it rained
Lighting flashed a vein

Overhead the storm passed
As I watched and gasped
The wind passed
Through every blade of grass

The grass- it sang
The song of the sea
