As i thought of you, I spent the night thinking back to how Solomon felt as he penned down the Songs of Solomon.
You, my divine goddess, are beautiful, my beloved like night woven with stars,
Like dawn etched into your skin,
Smooth as polished wood kissed by moonlight.
Your eyes are pools where doves drink,
Your lips a ribbon of pomegranate,
Your neck is an ivory tower set upon midnight,
and your hair falls like a curtain woven around the night sky.
How lovely are your steps,
The rhythm of your figure is a song the earth knows by heart.
Your curves like hills of spice,
a garden locked, a fountain sealed,
and yet your smile, your laughter waters everything it touches.
You are altogether beautiful, my dearest Hope,
There is no flaw in you,
Let me rest in the shadow of your presence,
Because in your bosom, I find the greatest peace,
In the beating of your heart, the slow rhythmic jazz of the gods, I derive comfort
Of this, I'm certain your presence is sweeter than wine, not just because they are intoxicating but because being with you is a blessing bestowed by the heavens.
