Sonnet 21 Poem by doug bentley

Sonnet 21

Rating: 5.0

the cubist Self from infinite point
surveys and sculpts the solitary ego
chipping away 'til likeness in saint,
the masterpiece of sculptor's pencil,

its form completes in the ideal real.
this process of mathematical like art,
from general outline to specific detail,
precisely establishes subject in heart.

the infinitesimal within its scope,
infinite order perfects the beautiful;
marble image hidden in marble block
is freed under hand of the masterful!

perfection of self by self is idealism
but infinite art forms idealism realism!
