A Barn Owl found its home anew atop
The college building lofty, four-storeyed;
It lives a quiet life with none to stop
Its flight or rest or observation, feed!
What location and height to view landscape!
It stays concealed by day, awake all night;
No snake or rodent can its eyes escape;
Its acuity is great despite dim light!
And no one can disturb it anyway;
Its nest is posh, in reinforced concrete;
With food aplenty, it has come to stay;
God feeds all birds and shelters them from heat.
When God takes care of birds, would He not men?
He longs to have all righteous in heaven!

This leaves me with a vision of that most beautiful of birds sitting, swivelling it's head to and fro above a spired townscape such as Cambridge or Oxford in the UK. I really like this. Well written.

Dear Dr.John Celes, I read your poem 'A Barn Owl Finds a New Home'. It is a lesson for everybody that 'When God takes care of birds, would He not men? ' Everybody should do their duty, but not greedy. Dr.V.K.Kanniappan
