Sonnet-A Plea To God Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet-A Plea To God

Rating: 4.0

This world has darkness despite being day;
This world has chaos despite being clear;
This world has despair despite joy en way;
This world has hopelessness, deceit and fear.

0 God, Thou art my Light on earth always;
Let me not sin and lose my Heaven's way;
0 Lord, do fill my heart with endless grace,
And help me do, right things, good deeds, I pray.

0 God, Lead me, my wearied heart and frame;
The world today has sufferings innate;
0 take away this veil of sin and shame,
Of vices, anger, pride, revenge and hate.
0 God, I long to reach Thy dwelling place,
And live to see eternally Thy face.
