Sonnet: All Men Are Weak Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: All Men Are Weak

Rating: 5.0

No future correctly, can man predict;
About a few things only, man can teach;
Man’s actions make the world so derelict;
Even the nearest star, man cannot reach!

Mankind has limitations most profound;
Man’s ventures turn out to be quite futile;
Nature’s prowess keeps men almost dumbfound;
Man’s heart is always full of sin and vile!

God punishes him all the more with strife;
Unanswered are his queries in volley;
Dissatisfied remains his earthly life!
Alas! Most men don’t accept their folly!

Man’s faith in God is vanishing so fast;
But thought of hell can turn all men aghast!
