Sonnet: Dad’s 105th Birth Anniversary Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Dad’s 105th Birth Anniversary

What love you gave us children while alive!
The care you rendered was incomparable;
Our family was busy akin bee-hive;
Your example good was indelible!

The nights you stayed awake to wake us up!
Your labor extra done to earn bit more!
The many slips you had ’tween lip and cup!
The corrections you did with much eye-sore!

Your words of wisdom bore the grace of God;
Profound were both your knowledge and your ken;
To correct us, you rarely used the rod;
What fine a dad God gave to us children!

You’re gone to be with God: we miss you dad!
That you couldn’t longer live just makes us sad!

Dedicated in loving memory of our dear dad,
Shri.A.T.Antoniswami M.A., L.T., CBE (late)
