He freed our land, Mahatma Gandhiji,
Supported by his freedom fighters all;
To Indians, Bharat is our destiny;
All invasions here-after, we will stall.

Our sacred land has mountains, rivers, hills,
Flora and fauna with diversity;
The joy of freedom, Indian hearts afills;
The rule is by a strong democracy.

Republic Day, we celebrate each year
Reminding us our patriotism;
We think about all souls killed, maimed, so dear,
Whose blood-shed gave us all our baptism.

We feel so proud, belonging to this soil;
Its air, land, water none can ever spoil.
