Sonnet: God Walks Me In His Ways Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: God Walks Me In His Ways

God makes me walk or run in His own ways;
Most things I try don’t happen as I wish;
Sometimes I find myself in my own maze;
God does not bear to see me turn selfish!

God takes me through His chosen roads and lanes;
He fixes time for my doing some things;
In course of time, He turns to boons, my banes;
He solves the strife and problems that life brings!

I cannot swerve away from paths He makes;
I can’t be lazy while doing His bid;
He grants me wisdom to discern the fakes;
He makes me penitent for sins, I hid!

God loves a righteous soul incredibly;
He guides a soul aright invisibly!
