Sonnet: I’m For All Time! Poem by Dr John Celes

I’m not of any age but for all time;
My life is not just mine but for all men;
I take up humanity’s causes prime;
I seek not earthly rewards but heaven!

I know my words have magical power;
They serve to make a good human being;
Like beauty, fragrance of a rose flower,
I write to change the heart of each earthling.

My poems soothe the minds afilled with grief;
The pathos gives way onto newer mirth;
The music gives so many, great relief;
To better thoughts of living, they give birth.

But all the same, I do this not for me;
But for His sake, my Maker, heavenly!
