Sonnet In The Desert Poem by Alexandro Johns

Sonnet In The Desert

I walked in a desert to forget her steps
Under a sun that burned even my shadow.
The sands spoke to me as to all the fools
That have stopped loving and no one call.

The twinkles far away deceived my senses
Like former aftertastes of my beds with her.
The reasons don't matter but there she faded,
In the middle of nowhere we will never meet again.

The wind of the desert was whistling in the debris
Of the lost life because I no longer loved her
And then, she will erase my soul from their dreams.

Nobody waits for men that return empty-handed.
Who listens the odyssey of a common fall?
Having crossed the desert I got back without love.
