Sonnet: In The Maze Of Life Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: In The Maze Of Life

Elusive stays the joy one wants always,
Though youngsters plan for better times in life;
Most labor goes awaste in earthly maze;
Ill-luck becomes a partner in all strife.

Prolonged attempts at accomplishments, wanes;
Long hours of preparation ends in vain;
Life takes them into many narrow lanes;
Their future leads to anguish and much pain.

Not all can win a rosy future fast;
But some can blame their not preparing well;
The question-banks are confusing and vast;
Their earthly life appears at times like hell.

Prepare for competitions pretty hard;
Failures are common making some a bard!
