Sonnet- In The Thick Of Doom, God Can Save Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet- In The Thick Of Doom, God Can Save

Rating: 4.5

Like the criminal 'fore the firing-squad;
Like the Deer held by neck by the Tiger;
Like the world when nuke-war starts by men mad,
Like the man when pierced by a sharp dagger;

Like the child who'as slipped down into a well;
Like the bus falling down the deep ravine;
Like the petrol -tanker afire like hell;
Like the man who is almost drowned in brine;

Like the cancer-patient awaiting death;
Like the sudden flood broken river-bank;
Like when foreign body's blocking man's breath;
Like the giant carrier that fully sank.

Sometimes, we find ourselves in life, may be;
With God beside, nothing can go awry.
