Sonnet: Injustice Is Rife On Earth Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Injustice Is Rife On Earth

Except the Maker’s fair judgement to come,
Most things appear unjust to human eyes;
Injustice rules the roost though laws welcome,
And fairness upon earth miserably dies.

Even the lion king takes on the kid –
A food that cannot serve breakfast’s purpose;
A vault of wealth, the rich have truly hid;
The trampled beggar turns to be his curse!

The world is so unfair despite all laws;
Judiciary serves verdicts so unjust;
Attempt to pass just laws, just flak it draws;
There is less love in world of undue lust.

This world’s unfair to babies in the womb;
A war unfairly ends by drop of a bomb!
