Sonnet: Let Lives Of All Be Safe Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Let Lives Of All Be Safe

Most families have one or two kids these days;
The lives of citizens are more at stake;
All lives have become priceless nowadays;
More stringent laws, all governments ought to make.

Corruption goes hand in hand with power;
A large country has problems galore, sure;
All crimes are turning worse by every hour;
Somehow, all lives must be made more secure.

All places must be safe by night and day;
Children and elderly can't live in fear;
Accountability must pave the way
For justice not delayed but always near.

Each life is precious, no matter sex, age;
For safety of all lives, a war, let's wage!
