Sonnet: Life's Approach Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Life's Approach

There is a second face for coin of life;
There is another pole when you have one;
There is another use of utmost strife;
There is another use for all works done.

All things have demerits and merits, too;
The force of life is negative and plus;
There is both good and bad in me and you;
Our earthly-life has both blessings and curse.

See just the beautiful aspect of things;
Be optimistic in your outlook, Man;
Problems have beset, both paupers and kings;
Work hard; face them, steadfastly, if you can.

Sweetness is sweeter after bitter taste;
Despite our sins in life, we must be chaste.
