Sonnet: Life's Crosses Too Are Blessings In Disguise! Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Life's Crosses Too Are Blessings In Disguise!

When I am careful, yet get pricked by thorns,
The painful situation reminds me then,
‘Not mere bed of roses, life adorns, '
I need more care whev'r jumping the fen!

When I meet persons, who appear like foes,
And I can feel they're worser than others,
I thank my stars for this surprising dose
Of bitter medicine from my brothers!

When life unravels woes amidst the bliss,
Your tolerance threshold improves a lot,
Convincing you, you must not do amiss,
Despite how people unnerve you and plot!

Sometimes, life hurts you for no reason, still
Let prudence, patience, pity, your heart fill!
