Sonnet: Mixed Feelings Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Mixed Feelings

Rating: 5.0

Today's a special day! Oh, My Birthday!
Lucky am I to be a Valentine;
My heart has feelings mixt in every way;
Thats earthly, real, virtual and divine.

I am so proud to be a Bard, not known!
I am all skied and yet, I rest on earth;
I am quite poor and yet much wealth, I own,
Was I made great or born genius at birth?

I feel so happy and yet am I sad;
I've gone afar and yet, barely I've begun;
I am grown-up and yet a bigger lad;
My heart is cold despite the scorching Sun.
My work has gone so well and yet not so,
Oh, how I wish to hear readers 'echo?
