Sonnet: My Good Work Belongs To God Poem by Dr John Celes

My work belongs to God and God alone;
I don’t expect rewards or citations;
If God allows it, it will come, one by one;
For long, I don’t expect imitations.

If I wish to tell people who God is,
And make them understand His love for Man;
I wish to them remind of Heaven’s Bliss;
That reaching it with ease, everyone can.

The words I write come from my mind and heart,
Inspired by good thoughts that God gives me;
Let people understand them through my art
And praise the Creator, wholeheartedly.

Let it help them to live, my Poetry,
And go to fruition like a healthy tree.
