Sonnet- Neglected Is The Soul These Days Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet- Neglected Is The Soul These Days

Rating: 4.0

How many hours a day, we give for God?
Is Sabbath spent as a holy day?
How many times, our God, we tend to laud?
Do we succeed to keep Tempters at bay?

Our Life on earth gets spent for selfish needs;
We don't have time to love our neighbour well;
And rarely, do we tend to do good deeds;
Bad men have transformed world to look like hell;

The modern man lives in a virtual hell,
The purity of soul is neglected;
Our earthly -life is put into pel- mel,
Most men in life do feel much dejected;

0 pause awhile and pry within thy soul;
0 man, if sin-filled, change to better role.
