Sonnet: On Marrying One Of Own Choice? Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: On Marrying One Of Own Choice?

Had I married a spouse of my own choice,
Perhaps, my life may have been much better!
This thought in mind becomes a haunting voice,
Though none can vouch its truth in its letter.

None can predict the past or future trends;
A certain risk is there in everything;
On our decisions, one's life much depends;
We ought to take all things as life may bring.

No road or lane on earth is ideal one;
Love marriage isn't a state of perfection;
Sometimes, we walk or trudge or even run;
Immunity comes just by infection!

Successes / failures are a part of life;
A greater bliss is when you combat strife.
