Sonnet: On Modern Man Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: On Modern Man

Man's mind is inquisitive to explore,
And find new truths about his Environment;
His Intellect is inventive to core;
Unraveling answers to impediments.

Man's ideas makes him to do newer things;
And discover new ways of doing them;
With luxury, new vices too life brings;
He works lesser but keeps the diadem.

Few innovate to help Mankind improve;
Why can't men do good deeds in improved ways?
Man's mind works in a materialistic groove;
He lazily spends all his precious days.

Man looks for God in outer Space and Stars;
Man ushers Peace 'midst nations by new wars.
