Sonnet: Peace Poem by Dr John Celes

Peace is something which men on earth yearn for,
And talk for hours and days but seldom keep;
Which everyone needs for his/her mind, ‘cor’,
But which is superficial and not deep!

Peace is the absolute need of the day,
For neighbors, nations and the world at large;
For all mankind’s problems- the only way!
A duty everyone ought to discharge.

Peace is the most precious commodity,
That’s sought and kept by paying heavy price;
Essential for world’s community,
Which sometimes appears like a game of dice!

Peace is the food of mind and heart and soul!
The love of fellow-men- the only goal.
