Sonnet: Plight Of Human Lives! Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Plight Of Human Lives!

Though people care for Dogs and Cats as pets;
And spend time and big money for their upkeep;
Who cares about the poor man in debts!
There is no soul at times to even peep.

While activists fight for the rights of beasts;
And world spends billions to protect Tigers!
Build hospitals for animals diseased;
Who cares about the poor beggar in rigors.

Thus, human life is threatened and uncared;
The world revels in beauty-pageant shows!
Some grow their nails long, keeping them unpared;
The ship of life is captainless, off course!

One man looks down upon the other, oh!
Injustice is something most undergo.
