Sonnet: Repent Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Repent

If you’re alive today, it is because
Of God’s infinite mercy upon you;
So, spend this grace-period for Maker’s cause;
Your duties better, you must try to do.

If you’re aren’t sick like how some others are,
God loves you still, expecting more from you;
So, look within your heart and mind and war
The devils’ trends and live a life that’s true.

If you are not in added strife, think well;
God wishes that you do a lot more good;
He wants you to avoid the Fire of Hell;
Amend your sinful life and take soul-food.

The wise man lives because of faith in God;
All evil souls await the Maker’s rod.
