Whatever sins, our ancestors had done,
God, spare our future generations, please:
From strife and death by famine, wars and sun;
Open your heart of kindness and give peace.
Whatever sins, our children try to do,
Despite our warning them not to; O Lord,
Forgive them and withhold your just rod too:
They know not how sins offend you, O God.
O God of mercy and infinite love,
Ignore our trespasses, bestow your grace;
Our sincere repentance, help us to prove;
From devils’ hands, protect the human race!
The world today is full of sin and vice;
Help us to avoid sin and be soul-wise.
