Sonnet-The Dawn Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet-The Dawn

The Dawn has brought dew-drops on leaves umptine,
Like necklaces of pearls, adorning plants;
Each dropp reflects the landscape in Sunshine;
The drizzling rain has chased away all ants.

Some buds have bloomed into such gorgeous flow'rs!
They smile and laugh and shake their heads with joy;
Wind-blown, their Sun-burnt mirth gets cooled by show'rs;
Some droop their faces blushed and rather coy.

And on the whole, it is a beauteous morn;
As fragrance fills the air that seems to stand;
No words can aptly write the splendor born,
Of Mother Nature's gentle fairy wand.

A hearty welcome to a newer day,
In Nature's captivating, natural way.
