Sonnet: The Elusive Global Peace Poem by Dr John Celes

The world is poised for changes none predict;
Regrouping nations tilt the power balance;
World leaders' actions done may contradict
Their statements made by changing own parlance.

Eternal foes are friends again by force,
As friends for long are enemies for now;
A crunch has come upon the world's resource
The hate is suddenly becoming love!

The world scenario seems so scary more;
Terrorism unites all nations fast;
All nations race remaining in the fore;
Forgotten lies the historical past!

But global peace eludes efforts well made,
As imminent wars threaten dialogs laid.
