Those days, were filled by honest men, women;
My father, mother were great examples;
The world was haven good, if not heaven;
Most people lived life with good principles.
These days, 'tis hard to find an honest soul!
Most people cheat and lie in every sphere;
To make a quick buck seems to be their goal;
You cannot trust even those near and dear!
The future could be worse with evils rife,
And families most bereft of love and care,
With human beings in fast mode in life,
Their selfish hearts, neglecting man's welfare.
The world is turning mercenary much,
And heads for ruin, loss of godly touch.
