Sonnet: The Physically Challenged Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: The Physically Challenged

Rating: 3.5

When eyes can't see, then ears both see and hear!
The sense of smell rescues the victim fast;
The skin alert can better feel things near;
The loss of sight becomes a thing of past.

Though wholesome, living can be arduous;
Those challenged physically need some aid;
At times, some tasks do prove too rigorous;
Intuition helps them into waters wade.

They ask for help to stand upon own feet;
They miss some things that you and I can see;
They want some safety in their work and heat;
In unique world, they wish to be left free!

Their brains have wonders more than you and me;
The grace of God and Hand guides them truly!
