Sonnet: ’tis Armageddon For Terrorists Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: ’tis Armageddon For Terrorists

Invoking name of God, you kill your neighbors, all
Unarmed and innocent, enslaved by pointing guns;
Dismembering, beheading women, children small,
Worse than the cattle slaughtered, ruthlessly; kill sons!

You have no heart of flesh or brain of wisdom, sense;
Your heinous crimes and sins, no Scripture books allow;
You plunder towns and burn down homes with inmates, whence
Most happy families lived in brotherhood and love.

The blood of human beings wet your desert sands;
The cries of anguished persons rent the air around;
The Maker’s wrath will sooner come out from His Hands,
And hordes of terrorists in hell will then be found.

Inhuman pachyderms, insane – you showed such scenes!
The world with bombs will blow you into smithereens!
