Sonnet: To Sweety - The Last Girl Of Our Family Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: To Sweety - The Last Girl Of Our Family

The last of children born of parents two
Most loving, righteous, dutiful, sincere,
Kept cheerful and kept others smiling too,
Becoming loved and petted and most dear!

Her simple nature astonished the rest;
Her ‘take it easy policy' worked well;
Her calm and helping nature beat the best;
Her share in doing chores had much to tell!

She was a nurse to father when sick-old;
She never cared for make-up or jewels;
Her patience was astounding to the world;
God made her photogenic than all else!

She chose to be a college teacher good,
And kept her cheer, without losing her mood!

Most lovingly dedicated to my dearest last sister,
Mrs. A.Dhaya Mary Rexina M.Sc., M.Phil. CBE
